TC1 and TMI1 – Traffic Control and Implementer Course
Traffic Control & Implementer Course
This nationally mandated three-day Traffic Control and Implementer Course is specifically designed for individuals who are new to the temporary traffic management industry. It serves as the foundational training required to become both a Traffic Controller and a Traffic Management Implementer.
Following the successful completion of the course, students must gain at least 20 hours of practical, logged experience performing Traffic Controller and Traffic Management Implementer duties. This experience must include at least three different live field setups to ensure familiarity with real-world conditions. After completing this fieldwork, students are required to return to Systec to undertake a final Practical Assessment. Upon passing this assessment, they will receive a wallet card and a Statement of Attainment, qualifying them to work on Category 1 Roads as outlined in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.
