Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck (TLILIC0003)

This unit of competency provides the skills and knowledge required to obtain a WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence and operate a forklift truck safely.

Entry Requirements

It is advisable that course participants have at least a basic level of literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as a reasonable level of fitness and a desire to work outdoors.
  • 100 points of ID (If you do not hold photo ID issued for the relevant state, you must notify Coates Hire Training Services PRIOR to enrolment).
  • Ability to read and correctly interpret complex signage; speak clearly and unambiguously in English; and to explain, describe and verify sometimes complex needs and issues. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

This course consists of one (1) unit of competency: TLILIC0003 Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck

Delivery

This course involves two days of theory and practical training delivered by our experienced training team. The course includes presentations, group work, practical activities and assessments.

Outcomes

  • TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck
  • High Risk Work Licence (LF) Plastic Card – issued by relevant state authority.
Forklift Operators can earn from $40 – $77k a year depending on experience.

Assessment
