The BSB30715 Certificate III Work, Health and Safety is a nationally recognised, competency based qualification. The course consists of ten (10) units of competency from the Business Services Training Package (BSB).
The WHS cert III is suitable for people who take on work, health and safety (WHS) responsibilities in addition to their main duties. They may provide technical advice and support to a team. The qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who apply a broad range of competencies in varied work contexts.

The BSB30715 Certificate III in Work, Health and Safety is designed for people who are working in a broad range of industries in roles as skilled operators who apply a broad range of competencies in varied work contexts.
There are no prerequisites or entry requirements for this course.
Pathways into the Qualification
Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include the BSB30715 Certificate II in Work, Health and Safety or other relevant qualifications OR vocational experience in a range of work environments in senior support roles
After completing this programme, course participants will be able to:
- Assist with compliance in relation to WHS laws.
- Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes.
- Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.
- Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems.
- Respond to workplace incidents.
Participants are given 12 months to complete and submit all the assessment activities. Where participants in the certificate program do not currently have a role that involves active supervision or involvement in WHS/ OHS related duties or related experience it is suggested that approximately 350 hours study be considered as a bench mark for successful completion of this Qualification.
The BSB30715 Certificate in III Work Health and Safety involves the successful completion of ten (10) of the following units of competency including five (5) core units and five (5) elective units.

Participants are required to undertake a number of assessment activities, including but not limited to: Completion of a portfolio of evidence Case studies Written questions Reports Assignments/projects Multiple choice Third party assessment Demonstration.
Assessment for the BSB30715 Certificate III in Work, Health and Safety is against the competency standards within the Business Services Training Package (BSB). Most course participants can expect to spend between five and ten hours per week, at a minimum, outside of course delivery time, reading and completing their assessment tasks.
