Verification Of Competency
A Verification of Competency (VOC) allows an employer to verify their employees knowledge and skills. This can be done to meet compliance with WH&S obligation and/or able to operate plant and equipment
Because contractors or employees are constantly applying themselves at work it means their skills are competent and necessarily don’t need more training.
The VOC in this instance is very useful that instead of employers having to retrain current employees to legislation standard they can engage in a VOC assessment. This is a cost-effective solution that saves money and also time.
To perform a VOC assessment the employee or contractor must have a valid ticket issued with in the last 24 months.
If the worker hasn’t been active onsite for a long time or does not feel confident in their skills we recommend signing up for their relevant courses here.
