Enrolment Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to set out the enrolment requirements for applicants seeking to complete a VET or WorkSafe course of study at SysTec RTO.

Scope

This policy applies to all accredited and WorkSafe courses.

Policy Statement

Applicants seeking to enrol with SysTec RTO are assessed and admitted using fair, equitable and transparent procedures on the basis of clearly defined, consistent and equitable criteria.

Applicants who apply for entry to SysTec RTO courses do so by fair and open procedures with published criteria outlining entry requirements for all courses. The principles upon which selection/admission decisions are made are stated clearly in SysTec RTO course brochures and on the website.

SysTec RTO will ensure that admission requirements do not present an unreasonable barrier to access.

SysTec RTO will ensure that applicants entering a VET course of study have an adequate basis of knowledge and skills to successfully undertake the course. Minimum requirements for entry into VET Certificate and Diploma courses are published on SysTec RTO’s website and in course brochures.

SysTec RTO staff will advise potential applicants in a professional, ethical and responsible manner and will not provide false or misleading information or advice

SysTec RTO adheres to policies and procedures for verifying applicants’ credentials and the granting of course credit.

Credit transfer including mutual recognition, RPL and RCC are all recognised as pathways in the enrolment process and they are accessible to all applicants who meet the requirements.

Applicants to SysTec RTO courses will be evaluated on language, literacy and numeracy skills as part of the enrolment process.

All applications for enrolment must be submitted in writing or via online.

An applicant must indicate anything that might prevent or hinder them in progressing through the training and assessment programme.

All application forms will contain mandatory standard enrolment questions as prescribed in the VET Student Statistical Collection Guidelines.

A notice of privacy will be on all application forms and will explain the collection of relevant data to meet government requirements.

Course applicants will be notified of their acceptance and informed at that time of their VSN and or USI number upon completion of the enrolment process.
